The Client

The Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (PM&C) provides fresh thinking and creative advice to the government. They contribute ideas on issues facing Australia, taking into consideration the views and opinions of a range of stakeholders across the private, public, not-for-profit and community sectors.

Their Story

The PM&C often have the need to broadcast important messages through their e-newsletters. These need to be sent through Outlook in a way that is instantly recognizable as well as engaging. Their communications also all need to be ‘accessible’ to people with disabilities (i.e. adapted for readers who are seeing or hearing impaired).

Our Service

We designed and created two bespoke, branded, and fully accessible e-newsletter templates, which could be edited internally for every edition.

E-NEWSLETTER TEMPLATES

These were designed as easy to use, fully editable MS Office Word templates, able to be sent via Outlook.

Some of the functionality they included were having links to their intranet; the ability to include images; the ability to change cell colours; the ability to change whole page background colour; the ability to insert different layouts (one cell/two cell/three cell, etc.); accessibility transferred to Outlook; the ability to move images around in cells (i.e. no need for cropping); the function to compress images in document for email.

We delivered the 2x documents design and template build and also full accessibility of the documents. For design, we made sure the designs worked across multiple platforms (desktop, laptop, mobile).

The PM&C are now able to convey important messages in a contemporary, visually appealing way. Every edition is fully editable and accessible to all readers.

The look and feel of the templates encapsulates the prestigious character of PM&C into a unique and instantly recognizable set of newsletters.

The templates are flexible and offer a multitude of options for layouts and colours.

We’re pleases to say this project was a success because let’s be honest, if there’s an organisation that needs a top of the line communication platform, it’s this one!
