IDEASEED CREATED A SUITE OF DOCUMENTS FOR A DEPARTMENT OF THE NSW GOVERNMENT

The Client

The NSW Department of Family and Community Services (FACS) deliver services to some of the most disadvantaged individuals, families and communities in the state of New South Wales. It works to improve the lives of children, adults, families and communities.

Their Story

The FACS Program and Business Plans division regularly need to provide reports, plans and other documents using MS Office. They were looking for a solution to help Executive Director-level personnel do this that was user-friendly, flexible and relatively fast to populate when time was an issue.

The Ideaseed Difference

When we embark on a project of document creation, we invest a lot of time in discovering all we can about where, when and how these documents will be used so that we can offer the very best solution.

Our Service

We developed a suite of Programs and Business Plan documents in MS Office.

We Created

DOCUMENTS

A suite of Programs and Business Plan Documents. These contained fully customizable fields within the plans.

In accordance with the brief, all documents were able to be viewed/printed as a customizable end product that captured only the completed fields once all information was submitted.

Data from other sources could easily be imported into the documents for regular reporting.

USER GUIDE

We issued a comprehensive user guide to accompany the documents so that users could easily engage with and utilize the templates.

The Result

Having produced many automated MS Office templates, we were able to provide FACS with a sophisticated solution to enable every day reporting
and business plans.

The dedicated ‘discovery’ period we committed to this project meant that we were able to understand the full scope of FACS’s needs. The end result was
completely suited to their requirements, both technically and aesthetically.

The final templates were housed on the FACS internal intranet and along with the user guide. In the end, regular reporting in a fast and flexibly way was made much easier for them.
